Now celebrating their 30th year, the Nashville Independent Film Festival will present feature films, documentaries, shorts, animations and more from around the world. The breadth and variety of the screenings, film seminars and workshops, discussions and special screenings present an enriching view of independent cinema and diversity of filmmaking artistry. The Regal Green Hills 16 is located at 2126 Abbott Martin Rd. near The Mall at Green Hills. The theater features stadium-style seating and the Funscape, a family entertainment center with a food court, arcade, bumper cars, 3-D interactive video and more.
Parking: There is a six-tiered parking garage located directly adjacent to the theater. Please do not use The Mall at Green Hills parking lot. Entrance to the festival is on the lower level, accessible from the lower level of parking garage.

MUSICAL/DRAMATIC STAGE PLAY: WHERE'S THE LOVE? Ric White, a Nashville singer, songwriter, actor and playwright, is joining forces with acclaimed director Don Breedwell to bring his newly self-penned musical/dramatic stage play to the Johnson Theater at The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC). Where's The Love?, a two-hour production which offers a one-of-a-kind combination of heartfelt drama and original country and blues music, will be presented at 8 p.m. on June 14, 19, 20 and 21 and 2 p.m. on June 15 and 22. The play tells the story of an HIV-positive singer/songwriter who returns home to share his secret and mend broken relationships with close family members and friends. It also addresses the career challenges of aspiring artists. The show features musical performances and characterizations by White, Southern acoustic rock artist Greg Hall, Gold record achiever Jay Austen (ABC TV's "Star of Tomorrow") and Christian blues act Nashville Fats. Also appearing in key acting roles will be veteran players Norris Brannstrom, Barbara Halleen, Breedwell, Ken Ayers, Evelyn Deveraux and Katie Honaker. The non-profit presentation is sponsored by Actor's Playhouse of Nashville, Inc. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and students. Congratulations to Collin Raye, producer Susan Bowman and director Steven Goldmann for winning the top video of the year award with the song "I Think About You" from the Academy of Country Music.
Four music video directors from The Collective recently earned awards from the Houston Film Festival. Steven R. Monroe was presented with the "Grand Jury Prize" for film achievement above and beyond the music video category competition.
Directors Steven Goldmann, Miller Murano and Thom Oliphant were all recognized with awards for their music video direction.
While at Planet Hollywood (Nashville) Kenny Rogers presented Charles Davis, founder of the Charles Davis Foundation, with a donation of $6,000 which will be used in programs that help Nashville's inner-city kids. "I love the idea of getting involved with inner-city kids because I was an inner-city kid," said Kenny. Charles commented, "Kenny has a true and deep commitment to the inner-city communities and a real understanding of what our kids are going through. We are blessed to have people like him support our efforts."
Kenny also presented Planet Hollywood with a costume from Gambler V.
