Leonard would like to say THANKS
for the kind words and airplay...

bio

From the time Montana artist Bill Rains asked me if I wanted to meet Hoyt Axton and Kris Kristofferson to getting this album to you a lot's changed.

I’ve learned “Country Music” is more than a style -- its something Holy -- and Fearless. It’s the truth.

Hoyt said, “If you're serious about getting your songs heard in Nashville you’ve got to move there.” -- I did.

I was lucky enough to meet C.J. Flanagen who introduced me to a great artist/songwriter veteran who produced the likes of Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck and Tanya on the prison project. He received a personal note of congratulations from Johnny Cash when he took over Cash’s #1 spot on the Americana Charts as an artist. This man is Billy Don Burns and he took me under his wing when he was on the front lines himself.

It was an honor when he agreed to be a part of this record.

B.D. took time off his own project, “TRAIN CALLED LONESOME” and rode in from his Mountain home in the heart of the Ozarks. When he got to Javelina Studio in Nashville the engineer, Warren Peterson, wanted the ground shaking 1340cc to kick off the title song to the project.

Thanks, Warren, for a great idea.

After twelve years I know Country Music is ANY beat that knocks the socks off Bullshit -- and -- that the folks on the front lines everyday are the heroes.
